The Youth for Life detachments operate permanently in the province of Las Tunas. Its work is focused on food production in the different municipalities of the territory.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- These days they have been especially active, both in El Pimiento semi-protected farm, in the municipality of Amancio, and in the weeding of cowpea beans, there in the areas of the Adolfo Villamar Base Business Unit from the "Jesús Menéndez" municipality.

Right in this last place, 25 volunteers from that area of the province are working in. They were constituted there, at the foot of the furrow, in the presence of Anier Arnedo, first secretary of the Young Communist League in Las Tunas. And neither the very intense sun of these dates nor the many challenges that face everyone's health, diminish their energies.

Of course they take protective measures. And the hats and shirts that are common to agricultural work, but also masks and a physical distance of one and a half meters.

They have posted part of the experiences on their social networks. For this reason, through their profiles, we learned about the main motivations of these dates, which focus on the importance of producing food in the midst of the complex pandemic situation that the world is experiencing, the consequences of which can be dire for the planet's economy.

They also subscribe that these works are an example of support for the Cuban Revolution and the battle that is being waged from all sides for life, as well as the proximity of May Day. A workers' celebration that this year comes with different borders, but the same commitment to Cuba, the present and the future.
