Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday considered that the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) should reflect the threat posed by this scourge to humankind.

Havana, Cuba.- The Cuban leader posted on his official Twitter account bout the liability of “northern nations” in greenhouse gas emissions, a situation that has threatened the entire world.

Díaz-Canel stressed that international actions to crack down on climate change cannot mean an additional bu“financial cooperation, support from developed rden for developing countries; it is also necessary countries”, he said.

The Cuban President considered COP27 to be the ideal setting to set up a specific financing mechanism to compensate losses and damages caused to vulnerable nations due to the impact of climate change.
