A donation from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies will reach communities in the western Cuban province of Pinar del Río.

Havana, Cuba.- According to Granma newspaper, the new batch includes 1,280 hygiene kits, stoves and solar lamps and arrived on Tuesday afternoon at the Jose Marti International Airport to later be sent to families victims of Hurricane Ian.

During the official reception of the cargo, Luis Enrique Calero, head of Operations of the Cuban Red Cross, thanked the contribution of this humanitarian network, founded in 1919 and considered the largest in the world.

Gonzalo Atxaerandio, representative of the Regional Delegation, on the other hand, recalled that this assistance was collected after an emergency appeal to different institutions of the Red Cross (PL)
