Prime Minister Manuel Marrero met Türkiye  businessmen

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero held on Monday a meeting with businessmen, organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEIK) of Türkiye.

Ankara.- This institution leads the international economic relations of the national private sector, particularly foreign trade, foreign investment, analysis of investment opportunities, export promotion, and business development.

The meeting was attended by the Cuban ambassador here, Alejandro Díaz, and several ministers of his country.

During the dialogue, Leyla Ilhan Pamucku, the president of the DEIK Business Council for Cuba, called for increasing the scope of collaboration, especially in the health and construction sectors.

Marrero is here at the head of the Cuban delegation that attended the inauguration of the re-elected president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which took place last Saturday.

Upon his arrival in the capital, the Cuban PM extended to the Turkish authorities the greetings of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, and of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

For his part, Erdogan sent a hug and congratulations to Raúl Castro on his 92nd birthday, while agreeing on the good state of bilateral relations and the willingness to continue promoting them.

Marrero also spoke with several presidents, heads of State and Foreign Ministers present at the inauguration ceremony. (PL)
