Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla condemned Tuesday Washington's efforts to put pressure on governments of the region to take action against Cuban travelers while providing all encouragement for their irregular entrance to the United States.
Havana, Havana.- In a thread of tweets Tuesday morning, the island´s top diplomat, stated that while the U.S. government fails to comply with the legal obligation to grant no less than 20 000 annual visas, as agreed in bilateral accords; it imposes the brutal burden of an economic blockade and puts pressures on governments of the region to impose transit visa requirements on Cuban travelers.
The Cuban government has clearly advised the US government of its responsibility in the encouragement of Cuban irregular migration in view of the US refusal, since 2017, to facilitate regular, safe and orderly migration.

Rodríguez added that the Cuban government has advised the U.S. government of its responsibility in the encouragement of Cuban irregular migration, given the U.S. refusal since 2017 to facilitate regular, safe, and orderly migration.
The Foreign Minister noted that the U.S. has been putting pressure on governments of the region to take action against Cuban travelers in a cynical attempt to close the door to the migration it has encouraged for decades.
In an effort to use the Cuban people as hostage of its hegemonic ambition, the US violates the human rights of Cubans & persists in the implementation of a destabilizing policy against #Cuba in violation of International Law.
