Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday led the analysis of the main results and projections of the country's foreign policy for 2022Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday led the analysis of the main results and projections of the country's foreign policy for 2022 as part of the annual review meeting of the Foreign Ministry.

Havana, Cuba.- As reported by the Presidency's Twitter account, the meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Manuel Marrero.

The debate revolved around the need to redouble the battle against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States and confront the media war against the island more forcefully.

In addition, those present evaluated the possibilities for strengthening ties with nationals living abroad and offering more significant support from the organization to the country's economy.

In a tweet, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez defined 2021 as a challenging year in a complex international context of the brutal application of the blockade against Cuba, considered a genocidal policy that violates the human rights of the Caribbean population.

According to authorities, the nation is under the effects of an unconventional war that includes social networks to promote destabilization actions such as those that occurred on July 11, 2021, in several cities on the island.

During the past year, Washington intensified its hostility and subversion against the island by applying the so-called soft coup and the artificial amplification of the hashtag #SOSCuba with high-tech systems and trolls. (RHC)
