
The activities for the 229th anniversary of the city of Las Tunas concluded on Tuesday night at the Vicente García Memorial Museum.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- The main political and governmental authorities of the territory, as well as representatives of the people of Las Tunas, gathered there to express their love for this city and its idiosyncrasies.
Poets shared their art, Cuban punto, the legend of Cueybá and his great love, and the interwoven stories of how and why this land of cacti came to be known were heard.
The evening unfolded amid traditional dances, recitations, and praises. A night that invited people to the Memorial patio to enjoy, also to the taste of popular music, canchánchara to the rhythm of the times, and dreaming of a better future.
