Dunia León Palmero has been among books for two decades. Sheltered by the José Martí Provincial Library, her dreams have grown together with the delight of knowing that they are useful. Today, the Day of the Cuban Librarian, she receives the good news of having achieved the Antonio Bachiller y Morales Commemorative Seal, awarded by the Cuban Association of Librarians (ASCUBI), and the Cuban Society of Information Sciences (SOCICT). Although she is not the only one in the province to hold that award, she is proud to be on the list.

The Gilberto E. Rodríguez Poetry Conference was held in the province until today, on the 115th birth anniversary of the man who is considered the most important poet of the 20th century in Las Tunas.

Being a mother is a difficult job, a job for life. It is like riding a roller coaster of emotions, where you are happy if the person who came into the world attached to you by an umbilical cord is also happy, or you get sad if it is not a time of light for that being.

The Sultasto guitar quartet reached its ninth anniversary on May 25. Behind the curious name that alludes to a code of stringed instruments that means "on the frets" and produces the sweetest sound, there is a whole work of empowered women: mothers, teachers of the El Cucalambé professional art school, and integral artists.
