The Amateur Artists Movement (MAA in Spanish) is a necessary pillar for the development of different cultural processes. From anonymity, and free of charge, they spread good practices and qualities in institutions, intricate areas, and diverse communities. Their day was recently celebrated, but there is still much to be done to recognize the value of their multiple contributions to society.

The Cucalambeana Fiesta, which is considered the Supreme Party of the Cuban Peasantry, will be held in the province between June 28 and July 2. Its design will include the usual proposals and other novelties, following the intention of rethinking the event to achieve greater sociocultural impact, its organizers informed at a press conference.

The birth anniversary 194 of Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo (El Cucalambé), the greatest bucolic poet of the 19th century in Cuba, is approaching. Our land prepares the homage that every year becomes the Cucalambeana Fiesta.
