Since July 5, more than 400 Education employees and their families have enjoyed their vacation at the summer village established at the Elementary School in La Boca Beach.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- Carlos Manuel Velázquez Infante, head of the Education Support and Assurance Unit, said that before the vacation period began, the main actions were directed at collecting firewood, water, and food supplies from the sector's areas of agricultural self-consumption. They also worked on refurbishing the rooms to provide optimal comfort for the teachers.

The Education Villa staff at La Boca Beach was able to set up nine rooms with a capacity of six people each, and guarantee a variety of meals. The rooms have separate bathrooms, and showers were installed outside for better service.

Velázquez Infante added that they also have a dining room and other facilities in the outdoor courtyard, as well as board games and other activities.

Until August 24, the La Boca Beach School will operate as a summer village for teachers from Puerto Padre. Those from other schools in the province are staying at centers such as the Camilo Cienfuegos semi-boarding school and the Salvador Cisneros High School, in the so-called Cuba’s Villa Azul (Blue Village).
