The work of innovators extends the service life of equipment and other working tools

The Day of the Innovator, sponsored by the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR), began in Puerto Padre at the Municipal Electromedicine Workshop.

On behalf of the Central Union of Cuban Workers (CTC), the innovators of the territory with outstanding work during the referendum on September 25 were recognized; also, Eliécer Castro Sosa, a worker at the Antonio Guiteras sugar mill, who is proposed for the National Prize to the Greatest Impact for his work with the harvest machinery.

The president of the ANIR, Iliana Batista Rivas, explained that “during this month, activities will be carried out throughout the country for material and moral stimulation of innovators and rationalizers in their workplaces, creative women, retirees, prominent cadres, and administrative staff who unconditionally support the Association."

Innovation work was also presented, among which the maintenance of blood glucose measurement equipment and the repair of an autoclave in the Romárico Oro Polyclinic and another in the Guillermo Domínguez Hospital stood out, vital for the laboratories of these health institutions.

"Innovation is essential to maintain the technology used by the country," Arnoldo Rosales Almaguer, director of the Electromedicine Workshop, said and stressed "the generalization of knowledge" as ANIR's main instrument.

Leydis Molina referred to the activity as an opportunity to exalt the values of the innovators and argued that "despite the lack of resources, it is possible to survive thanks to their initiative."

The opening of the Day, which will last until October 31, left a taste of satisfaction because actions are planned that will recognize the intense work of the 1,096 members of the Association who contribute to the maximum use of important means for local entities.
