School uniforms for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year are now on sale in Las Tunas. The first distribution covered the municipalities of Jobabo, “Amancio,” “Colombia,” Manatí, and Majibacoa. Priority has been given to the students in early grades, especially preschoolers, who face a shortage of sizes in provincial warehouses.

Las Tunas, Cuba .- Yamile Crespo Bello, director of the Base Business Unit (UEB) for uniform marketing, explained that they are working with the available stock while awaiting delivery of the remaining items from the national textile industry.

“The industry still needs to complete the corresponding production, especially in sizes 4 to 10, which are the most in-demand for preschoolers,” explained Crespo Bello. This situation has required a stage distribution based on availability.

The province continues to be immersed in logistical preparations for the new school year, which will begin next September, as part of the Ministry of Education's national schedule. Educational authorities in Las Tunas state that the process has been organized to ensure the most urgent needs in each locality are met.

A second distribution of school uniforms is expected to take place during the month just begun, once the entire batch manufactured by the industry is received. This second phase will allow for the completion of delivery to the remaining municipalities, including the provincial capital and rural areas that have not yet been supplied.
