The main activities of the province for the National Rebellion Day took place today in the municipality of Jesús Menéndez, presided over the main political and governmental authorities of the territory, and the attendance of a representation of the people.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- It was an emotional morning, in which the flags in the air and the intense red color that defines these dates in Cuba prevailed. Cards were given to new members of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Young Communist League. Poems were recited, dances were performed, and the ardor that characterizes us as a country was reaffirmed.
Alexander Pérez García, first secretary of the PCC in the municipality, recalled the significance of the ephemeride and also delved into "the discreet and meritorious advances" that have allowed them to raise the flag of July 26 as the most outstanding in the province.
The residents rejoice in the plans fulfilled in the collection of milk and beef, the completion of the agricultural contracting process, the progress of the planting of various crops, the resources delivered to 249 vulnerable families, and the nearly 1,500 who have received food modules.
The political leader also recognized what remains to be done and highlighted the many efforts in which they are now immersed to continue raising the quality of life of the people, the engine and breath of each dream.
Walter Simón Noris, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the PCC, conveyed "a fraternal embrace to the invincible people of Las Tunas, to the heroic veterans and the committed youth," and dedicated an important part of his speech to address issues such as the unity between the Party and the people to confront corruption, speculation, fraud, illegalities, and profit. He recognized the sacrifice of sensitive sectors such as Health, Education, and Culture and called for strengthening the work of the inspection bodies, popular control, and order.
Simón Noris called for implementing the political movement Tarea de Grandes under the motto: "For Las Tunas, the Victory," which aims to obtain a prominent place for these lands in the national headquarters of the July 26 celebrations in 2025.
That, he said, focused on strengthening revolutionary unity, perfecting political-ideological work, combating negative trends, and fulfilling the Government's projections to boost the economy.
The activity included recognition for outstanding entities, both in the municipality and at the provincial level. The political act was closed to the unmatched rhythm of the conga Dandys del 50. Then many hugs became true and the desire to support the baseball team became loud so that, among the joys to come, another championship will come to Las Tunas by the hand of its Lumberjacks.
The day included the inauguration of some works of social benefit. The Abdala children's house (Calle 10 del Batey), for the benefit of 20 families in the health sector, and add to the efforts so that "Jesús Menéndez" can complete the coverage of these requests, including the new 20 capacities that the children's circle of the town already has.

The visitors toured the La Voluntad mini-industry, in the El Canal community, and witnessed the revival and expansion of its production lines thanks to new equipment. They also visited the meat processing node from small livestock, an initiative based on local development projects.
