Public Relations Colloquium brought together academic officials, professors, researchers, communication professionals, and students.

Marking the city's 230th anniversary and the 35th anniversary of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS) —and coinciding with Inter-American Public Relations Day— the University of Las Tunas hosted a colloquium that brought together academic officials, representatives (ACCS), professors, researchers, communication professionals, and students.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- During the gathering, participants reflected on the current role of Public Relations, the competencies required for professional practice, and the significance of managing relationships in a society where the population possesses an ever-growing capacity to participate, express opinions, and generate content.

The colloquium also featured a session on institutional best practices, with representatives from various companies sharing concrete Public Relations experiences from their organizations; this allowed students to gain insight into professional realities beyond the classroom.

The event included an interactive session with audience participation and recognized the work of the program's professors. The closing remarks emphasized that, even as technologies, media, organizations, and audiences evolve, there will always be a place for Public Relations as long as people seek to understand, listen to, and connect.
