Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow will raise the issue of a possible provocation with the use of a dirty bomb by Ukraine in international institutions, including the UN.

Moscow.- This Monday our representatives will present the issue in international structures, and Russia expects an interested and professional discussion of the problems to be addressed, Lavrov said while speaking to the press.

The Foreign Minister said that Moscow has specific information about Ukrainian scientific institutions that have the technology to create a dirty bomb.

Moscow is not surprised by the West’s media reaction to Kyiv’s possible use of a dirty bomb, the top diplomat admitted.

On Sunday, Sergey Shoigu held telephone conversations with his counterparts from the UK, France, and Turkey: Ben Wallace, Sebastien Lecornu, and Hulusi Akar.

The head of the Russian military department conveyed to his colleagues Moscow’s concern about possible provocations with the use of a dirty bomb by Ukraine.

In addition, he spoke by phone with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin on Friday and Sunday.

The US State Department issued a statement from the foreign ministries of the United Kingdom, the United States, and France stating that these countries do not consider Russia’s warnings about the possible use of an alleged dirty bomb by Kyiv to be justified. (PL)
