The subsidiary group InTalsur bets on innovation in its productions

The shortage of cane sugar for some of its products makes the Alimentaria Sur Integral Subsidiary Group (InTalsur) look for alternatives to what it has on hand to carry out its main productions.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- They are currently working on a fruit and vegetable dehydration project. They are also involved in the insertion of cane syrup to use in cookies and preserves.

The subsidiary group InTalsur bets on innovation in its productionsOn a tour of the InTalsur facilities, we realized that their workers do their best to achieve products with a quality finish and bring consumers' palates closer to the reality to which they are accustomed.

"Even though the machinery was mostly born from the inventiveness of our workers, we managed to make a rustic equipment that allows the extraction of the cane syrup that will be used to make jams depending on the fruits we have, whether mango, guava, or papaya, besides the scraping,” said Rolando Sánchez Remedio, administrator of the canning factory, one of the subsidiary units.

On the other hand, there is the crackers factory that thanks to the joint work with the canning manufacturer, achieves its daily preparations, which allows to reduce costs and brings more profits to the unit, as reported by its administrator Juan Ramón Pérez Peña.
Sitting idly is not an option for those who belong to the InTalsur subsidiary company. They seek, in every way possible to meet the needs of the population, making use of the raw materials they have at hand.
