Ceremony of decorations for the 60th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women

Tuesday morning, the Vicente García González memorial museum, in this city, hosted the ceremony of decorations for the 60th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The activity was chaired by Manuel René Pérez Gallego, president of the Provincial Defense Council, and was attended by members of the feminine organization from the eight municipalities of the province.

Among songs and the joy of pleasant reencounters, the 23 de Agosto Distinction was awarded to 20 women the Aniversario 60 de la FMC Commemorative Seal, which is conferred for the only time, to another group of 47.

Founders and young people came together with the same passion for the organization, also marked by the memory of Vilma Espín; a virtuous woman whom many of those present knew and remembers as an example of modesty and sweetness.

The main speech of the meeting was pronounced by Yaneidys Pérez, secretary-general of the FMC in Las Tunas. She thanked the push of the federated women here, highlighted the work in the midst of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and ratified the commitment of all to Cuba, in each place.
