Fostering the housing contruction is a priority for EMAC Las Tunas.

With the implementation of many strategies, the Las Tunas Maintenance and Construction Company (EMAC) has launched the Housing Program in the province and is today, the main protagonist in these works.

Las Tunas has begun the recovery of damage to homes and other infrastructure after the intense rains that hit last week, especially to the south of its geography, with local records of more than 300 millimeters and an average of more than 100.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The city of Las Tunas woke up sunny today, while recovery work continues in the municipalities affected in recent days by heavy rains and associated flooding; hydrometeorological surveillance is maintained, as well.

From Friday afternoon, June 9, the Provincial and Municipal Defense Councils were activated throughout the Las Tunas territory, due to the large floods caused by the intense rains that occurred until this Saturday morning.

The affectation of more than 700 hectares planted with different crops constitutes the greatest impact caused by the constant rainfall recorded in Las Tunas, although work is still underway to quantify the damage in the eight municipalities of the province.
