On Friday, Gustavo Petro will be received by López Obrador

Colombian President Gustavo Petro will pay an official visit to Mexico, where he will meet with his counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to strengthen bilateral relations.

Bogotá.- Petro will arrive this afternoon at Felipe Angeles airport in Mexico City, and his first activity will be a meeting with members of the Colombian community.

On Friday, the president will travel in the morning to the National Palace, where he will be received by López Obrador and they will have a working breakfast.

Later, an extended meeting of the Colombian and Mexican delegations will take place.

The Colombian president will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Álvaro Leyva, Chief of Staff of the Presidency Laura Sarabia, and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism German Umaña.

According to the agenda, in the Government Palace of Mexico City, Petro will meet with the Head of Government of the Mexican capital, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Petro will be declared a distinguished guest of Mexico City at a ceremony at the Salón de Cabildos and will sign the book of illustrious visitors. (PL)
