The territory has 557 annexed classrooms and an equal number of specialists from various entities linked to the technical training of students

A total of 646 young people will graduate this month from Technical and Professional Education (ETP in Spanish) in Las Tunas, which is a valuable contribution to the socio-economic development of the territory.

Las Tunas, Cuba - Mario Morales García, head of the Department of this educational level in the Provincial Directorate of the sector, said that the graduates correspond to middle-level technicians in various profiles such as Civil Construction, Clothing, Accounting, Veterinary Zootechnics, Agronomy, Physical Planning, Geodesy and Cartography, Telecommunications and Informatics, among other specialties.

The executive affirmed that all the graduates have guaranteed employment, in correspondence with the "early placement" that is carried out from the third year of studies, in conjunction with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Morales García said that vocational training is one of the strengths of Technical and Professional Education in Las Tunas, since more than 86 percent of the students of this education before starting it went through some club related to the specialty they are studying today.

Likewise, he said, close to 90 percent of the new entrants obtain the profession contemplated among their first three demands on the continuity of studies ballot.

With an enrollment of more than nine thousand students, Technical and Professional Education in Las Tunas also has among its strengths the over fulfillment of enrollment plans and the certification of specialists and production and service centers.

The official pointed out that, for the acquisition of practical skills, the territory has 557 annexed classrooms and an equal number of specialists from various entities linked to the technical training of students, which provides the processes with higher quality standards in the effort to balance school and practical activities.

Likewise, 445 teachers maintain links with various institutions in order to improve and update their knowledge in each activity and, on the other hand, each school generalizes the ways of working of the Third Improvement with the firm purpose of providing a higher quality to their educational teaching processes.

The head of the Department of Technical and Professional Education (ETP) in Las Tunas emphasized that in the 17 educational centers they work according to the sanitary protocols to avoid the new coronavirus and to ensure the health of teachers and students.

Education in Las Tunas is distributed in the modalities of regular daytime courses and for workers, skilled workers, intermediate technicians, trade schools, and polytechnics.
