Although up to this minute the province of Las Tunas reports tranquility, the agencies and the entire society as a whole have adopted the pertinent measures for the current phase of cyclonic alarm to avoid possible material and human damage, in the proximity of Tropical Storm Elsa.

The crops in the harvest phase have already been collected and distributed.

Actions aimed at protecting the harvest of various crops, infrastructure, livestock, resources, and products have been developed by the Agriculture System in this province, in the face of the possible danger of the passage of "Elsa" through this eastern region.

 More than 8,000 evacuated people in Las Tunas

Until noon this Sunday, in the province of Las Tunas, 8,310 people living in vulnerable areas that could be affected during the passage of Tropical Storm Elsa remain evacuated.

Beekeepers were advised not to castrate their hives  to preserve food for the bees, thus preventing damage caused by "Elsa".

The 147 beekeepers, scattered in the eight municipalities, developed during these last days actions aimed at protecting their hives to prevent the adversities that could cause the passage of tropical storm Elsa.

Recognition to those who have been, as volunteers or health professionals, in the isolation centers for suspected or confirmed patients with the COVID-19 disease, transmitted the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Manuel Pérez Gallego.
