Managua.- "We will never accept slanderous information. The Nicaraguan Army has absolute control over its forces and means," the military said in a statement.
It also reiterated that its position is firm and has been clear in the press notes recently released, as a result of the wave of violence that has hit the country since April 18.
On the other hand, it stated that in the Dr. Alejandro Dávila Bolaños Military Hospital there is an express order to assist any citizen that requires any emergency service.
In that sense, the Army announced that during the previous day, 11 people were treated in the emergency area, including two civilians who arrived dead and eight wounded by firearms, and another injured in a fall. (PL)
