The Honor Robe recognizes the work of oustanding lawyers

Five lawyers from Las Tunas were selected by the National Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC, by its Spanish acronym) to receive the Honor Robe of the Legal Profession.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Those recognized with this high distinction have been in the profession for 25 years or more, in which achieving better results in the quality of the services provided has been among their main goals.

The ceremony was chaired by Yinet Peña Batista, secretary-general of the Public Administration Union, Sergio Vargas Esperance, president of the National Union of Cuban Jurists in the territory, and Miriam Castillo Hernández, director of the ONBC.

On behalf of the lawyers who received the distinction, the specialist Marvelis Báez Cisneros assured that "we have a university degree that is not for lawyers, but for graduates in Law, which authorizes us to practice the profession of lawyer, and grant us all necessary permissions to give legal advice and seek justice in court."

As guarantors of the Law in Cuba, they are part of the strengthening of the country's justice system and are essential in the systematic work of raising the legal culture of the population. Therefore, the Robe of Honor represents the highest distinction that members of the Organization of Collective Law Firms can receive.
